The trailer of the much-awaited Sreenivasan film, "Nagara Varidhi Naduvil Njan", is released. The trailer introduces the character and the genre of the film, which makers call a "clean and tidy" entertainer.
The trailer introduces the lead character is a middle-class man, who finds it difficult to come in terms with the city life, which emanate lot of pollution. The trailer of the film assures that it is going to be a typical Sreenivasan movie with a satirical dimension.
The film is directed by Shibu Balan, who assisted director Sathyan Anthikkad, and later became popular with his television serials. The dialogues and the script are written by Sreenivasan himself.
"Nagara Varidhi Naduvil Njan" will be a satire, focusing on pollution in cities and will be a comic take on problems caused by pollution in the political scenario.
The return of Sreenivasan-Sangita combination have made news in the Malayalam film circles, as their last film together "Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala" was an unparalleled success. The film, written and directed by Sreenivasan, is famous for its dialogues filled with satire and comedy. It had a huge star cast of Thilakan, Innocent, Nedumudi Venu, Sudheesh and Siddique.
Meanwhile, Sangita is a popular actress in Malayalam and Tamil industry. She began her acting career as a child artiste in the Malayalam film, "Snehikkan Oru Pennu", and then went on to do films in many South films especially during the 90's. The actress took a break from the films, after she married cinematographer Saravanan.
Apparently, when the makers of the movie approached Sangitha to be part of the film, she was reluctant to join them. But, it was Sreenivasan's confidence over her acting, which made her return to the silver screen after 16 years.
The trailer had also introduced the characters played by Innocent, Manoj K Jayan, Lal, Sreejith Ravi, Vijay Raghavan, Prem Kumar, Joy Mathew, Dharmajan and Bheeman Raghu.
The cinematography of "Nagara Varidhi Naduvil Njan" is handled by Sameer Haq and editing is by Ranjan Abraham. The music is composed by Govind Menon of "Thaikkudam Bridge" band and the lyrics are written by Engandiyoor Chandrasekharan.
