"Spider-Man Reboot" is expected to be released only in 2017, but the film has been garnering a lot of attention, especially after Tom Holland's appearance in "Captain America: Civil War" was confirmed. There's also a lot of buzz about how Spidey's look will be in the 2017 "Reboot" after the full body sketch of the new Spider-Man was revealed. And now, director Jon Watts has dropped some major teasers about the film's plot.
In his recent series of interviews, director Jon Watts has not only spoken about the possibility of Miles Morales' appearance in "Spider-Man Reboot" but also revealed details about comic books that have inspired the story of this 2017 release.
When asked about if Mile Morales would appear in the "Reboot", Jon Watts hinted: "I can't talk about that, because, you know, that will reveal too much. We're still writing the story... we haven't finished all the way through the story yet, so who knows." Though he didn't directly address the rumours, he didn't even deny it. So, there's a huge possibility that there could be some truth to those rumours.
Meanwhile, Watts did admit that the film will heavily focus of Peter Parker's teenage, and his high school life and relationship drama. He also revealed that the story will have traces of comic books, including the "Ultimate Spider-Man" and "Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane".
"I really like what [Brian Michael] Bendis did. A lot. That felt like... that was Peter Parker back in high school. And, spending as much time with his high school problems as it did with his superhero problems, which I think is really a lot of fun," said Watts while talking about "Ultimate Spider-Man" inspiration.
He also mentioned that Sean McKeever's "Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane" provided him the perfect base to show Spider-Man as a teen. "This comic book is the soap opera of Peter Parker in high school. And it is similar to "Ultimate Spider-Man" because they both show Peter Parker in high school, along with relationship drama," Watts explained.
Well, it looks like the fans will get a good peek into Tom Holland's Spider-Man as a high-school Peter Parker in "Spider-Man Reboot", which is set to hit theatres on 28 July, 2017.
