Sony has finally released its Xperia XZ Premium in India, months after it was unveiled. The device was announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in February before launching in Shimla earlier this month.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium is now available for purchase in India at Rs 59,990 but it won't be a cakewalk as several premium handsets in the same price range are currently available in the market. It is obvious that the device will take on some of the most popular devices like Samsung Galaxy S8, which is priced at Rs 57,900, and Google Pixel XL 32 GB variant which comes with a price tag of Rs 54,000.

So, which device should you buy from the lot -- Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Google Pixel XL? Well, it depends on one's taste and needs as all the handsets have one feature or the other that sets itself apart from others. Sony Xperia XZ Premium

It sports a 5.5-inch 4K HDR TRILUMINOS screen with 3840 x 2160 pixels (807 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 quad-core CPU, runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system, and comes packed with a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card.

The device also features a 19MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, 25mm lens, EIS (gyro), predictive phase detection and laser autofocus, LED flash and 1/2.3" sensor size, a 13MP front snapper with f/2.0 aperture, 22mm lens, 1/3" sensor size and 1.12 µm pixel size, and a 3230mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charging v3.0.

Priced at Rs 57,900, the handset has a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1,440x2,960 pixels (570 ppi pixel density), an Exynos 8895 processor / Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (for US model), an Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, a 4GB RAM, and a 64GB internal memory expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It also features a 12MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, 26mm lens, phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash, 1/2.5" sensor size and 1.4 µm pixel size, an 8MP front snapper with f/1.7 aperture and autofocus, and a 3,000mAh battery with fast battery charging technology.

The device is priced at Rs 54,000 for the 4GB RAM+32GB ROM variant. It sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1,440x2,560 pixels (534 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, and runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. It also comes with a 12MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, 1/2.3" sensor size and 1.55µm pixel size, an 8MP front snapper with f/2.0 aperture, 1/3.2" sensor size and 1.4 µm pixel size, and a 3,450mAh battery with fast charging technology.
