Popular Chinese start-up firm OnePlus has announced that the company will allow buyers to book the flagship smartphone 'One' without any invitation, on 10 February.

The company's official e-commerce affiliate Amazon India has confirmed that the sale will kick-off on Tuesday at 10am (IST). But there is a catch: buyers need to be quick as the sale will end once the seller runs out of stock. 

The company says that this one-day special deal is a way of thanking buyers for – "10 Great Weeks' in India. Prospective customers can try their luck buying the elusive OnePlus One phone without going through the cumbersome route of winning contest/promotional events by signing up on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites.

Also, in such sales, after an agonising wait, few lucky consumers get a pass (or an invite) and be eligible to book the device.

However, OnePlus' surprise announcement is bit too co-incidental, as it clashes with rival Xiaomi Mi4, which is also making its official debut on 10 February in the subcontinent.

Both OnePlus One and Xiaomi Mi4 have lot of common features such as the same Snapdragon 801 series SoC (System on Chip), full HD display, 3GB RAM, camera specifications, and come with affordable price-tags with a small difference of ₹2000.
