Mythological show "Siya Ke Ram" that has Ashish Sharma and Madirakshi Mundle portraying the roles of Ram and Sita respectively, has been garnering overwhelming response since its inception.

The latest buzz it that television heartthrob Sidharth Shukla has been approached to play the role of Hanuman on the show.

While Shukla is yet to give a nod to the role, according to a SpotboyE report, the makers are eager to cast him. "Well-built and 6 feet tall, Sidarth has the physique to carry off the role. He is extremely popular and also a good actor. Hanuman is not an easy character to portray. So considering everything, Sid is a good choice for the role," a source told the entertainment portal.

Meanwhile on "Siya Ke Ram," after the grand Swayamvar of Sita, viewers will witness the magnificent wedding of Lord Ram and Sita in the upcoming episodes. To give the wedding sequence an authentic look, the makers have been looking into minute details.

"It all started from this very wedding. Sita and Rama's wedding was when these wedding festivities came into existence. The makers have planned a beautiful on-air campaign wherein with every festivity, they will be showcasing the importance of the ritual be it haldi ceremony or sindoor (vermillion) or varmala (garland) exchange between the bride and the groom," IANS quoted Bhargavi Chirmule, who plays the role of Sita's mother Sunaina, as saying.

In other news, Shukla, who rose to popularity with the portrayal of Shivraj on hit show "Balika Vadhu" is currently seen as a participant on stunt-based reality show "Khatron Ke Khiladi 7." However, rumour has it that Shukla will be evicted from the show in the upcoming weekend.
