The two day South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) event concluded on 13 September 2014 in Kaula Lampur, Malaysia.

The SIIMA Award function was held on 12 and 13 September to honour and promote South Indian film industry.

The awards for Malayalam films were given on 12 September and the event was graced by many celebrities from various industries. The two day function had performances by many stars, including Nivin Pauly, Lakshmi Menon, Isha Talwar, Simbu, Shriya Saran and Devi Sri Prasad.

The event was also attended by Bollywood actress Sreedevi and Boney Kappor, Chiranjeevi, A. L. Vijay, Amala Paul, Tamannaah, Asin, Navdeep, Regina Cassandra, Puneet Rajkumar, Shivarajkumar, Parvathi Menon, Trisha, Aftab Shivdasani, Rana Daggubati, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Manoj Tiwari, Avika Gor, Bhagyaraj, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Vijay Yesudas among others.

At the gala event, Mohanlal's "Drishyam" won three awads and Murali Gopi's "Left Right Left" won two awards.

"Drishyam" was selected as the Best Malayalam Film. The film also bagged award for Best Actor in Negative Role (Kalabhavan Shajon) and Best Director (Jeethu Joseph).

For the film "Left Right Left" , Thyagarajan received the award for the Best Fight Choreographer and Murali Gopi as Best Actor in Supporting Role (Male).

Dileep bagged the Best Actor Award for his performance in the film "Sound Thoma" and Amala Paul won the Best Actress Award for her performance in "Oru Indian Pranayakadha".

Actor Prithviraj won Critics Award for Best Actor for his performance in "Mumbai Police" and Ann Augustine bagged Critics Award for the Best Actress for the film "Artist".

Meanwhile, actress Asin was selected as the Youth Icon of South Indian Cinema (actress) and Lakshmi Menon was given the award for the Rising Star of South Indian Cinema.

Actress Amala Paul and Director Vijay were honoured with the Best Couple Award.
