Popular Pakistani actors Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan have been banned by Shiv Sena as they claimed that they will not allow any Pakistani actor to come to Maharashtra.

According to a report on DNA, Shiv Sena opined that popular Bollywood stars should refrain from casting any Pakistani actor.

"We are not really bothered about who is signing these Pakistanis in their film. Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Shah Rukh Khan, etc. are responsible citizens and they should not cast Pakistanis in their film," the report quoted Chitrapat Sena general secretary Akshay Bardapurkar as saying.

While Fawad Khan made a successful debut in Bollywood with the movie "Khoobsurat", Mahira Khan is all set to make her grand Bollywood entry with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees".

However, with Shiv Sena imposing a ban on Pakistani actors in Maharashtra, Mahira Khan's debut film might face a big hurdle.

Earlier during 2010 IPL auction, Shah Rukh Khan, being the owner of KKR, expressed his discontent when none of the franchises made a bid for any Pakistani player.

His remark was followed by massive protests from Shiv Sena then, who later asked for SRK's apology. However, the superstar did not apologise stating that he did not say anything wrong.

Now, it will be interesting to see what Shah Rukh Khan has to say about Shiv Sena's ban on Pakistani actors.

A few days back, Shiv Sena had protested against Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali's concert in India too. Shiv Sena also vehemently opposed the plan of organising a India-Pakistan tournament in India and created a ruckus at the BCCI office.
