"The Bachelorette" couple Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth, whose relationship has been under constant scrutiny since their stint on the previous season of the dating reality show, has put to rest split rumours by going on a pre-wedding honeymoon.

Bristowe and Booth jetted off to Galveston Island off the coast of Texas for a romantic holiday, which the Canadian dance instructor described as "almost like a honeymoon."

"This has been almost like a honeymoon for us after everything we've been through," 30-year-old Bristowe told the Galveston Island Convention & Visitors Bureau on Thursday, reported People.

Her fiancé, 29-year-old Booth, described their holiday as the "perfect little getaway for us."
Split rumours have been plaguing the couple for a while now, and these talks gained momentum recently when Booth said they were yet to set a date for the wedding.

Several reports have also indicated that Booth's family wasn't pleased that he was dating Bristowe, and they have reportedly voiced their disapproval. Booth's family has allegedly expressed their decision to boycott the wedding if the couple goes ahead with the plan.

"Shawn's family has nothing nice to say about Kaitlyn, they can't believe that Shawn would propose to her after she slept with Nick Viall on national television," a source told Celeb Dirty Laundry. "And, they think that Kaitlyn brings out the worst in Shawn – they hate seeing him a jealous and insecure mess. Shawn's Dad has told him that they won't be attending the wedding."

Booth's dad reportedly feels his future daughter in law is flighty and fickle.

"Steven was not a happy camper about Kaitlyn and Nick, and he let his son know it," Celeb Dirty Laundry quoted a source as saying. "Steve is worried about this, because he's in deep. He wants Shawn to be happy, but he's worried Kaitlyn is too fickle and flighty. Shawn said his dad's definitely a bit of a skeptic, but he values his advice more than anyone's in the entire world."
