Initially scheduled for a July 6 release, Raees has now been pushed to January 26. While the general idea was that the makers wanted to avoid a clash with Salman Khan's Sultan, Shah Rukh Khan said he wanted to re-shoot some of the actions sequences he thought didn't turn out okay.

For Raees, the stars have to shoot a few scenes and a song. One would think it is Mahira Khan, who is delaying the project (because of the ban on Pakistan-based artistes), but it's Shah Rukh who has to get his physique right before he can shoot the sequences.

"Shah Rukh has been asked to get his body right for the song, which is why the movie is yet unfinished," a source told SpotboyE. The superstar is supposed to beef up for the portions that are left to be shot. With SRK busy with Imtiaz Ali's next, will he be able to make time for a physical transformation?

That isn't the only problem here. A while ago, there was quite a big noise about how Mahira would be replaced with another actress in Raees. But, the makers aren't interested in doing so as it isn't cost-efficient. Recent reports suggest that the entire unit will fly to Abu Dhabi, where they will shoot the remaining parts of the film.

Shah Rukh and producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are optimistic that the disturbance will cool off by the time Raees is ready to release in January, 2017.

In other news, Raees will be clashing with Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil, which also stars Yami Gautam in the lead. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil is a revenge-thriller.
