Veteran actress Shabana Azmi was trolled on social media for posting a picture that features Kanhaiya Kumar, a student leader from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Shabana posted the picture on Twitter. It shows her sharing the frame with her husband Javed Akhtar and Kanhaiya Kumar, whom she called "hope" in the caption. "Hope arrives in the form of #Kanhaiya Kumar [sic]," she tweeted.
Soon a series of reactions started pouring in from social media users. Although a few talked positively about the picture, many have questioned her for calling him "hope".
International Business Times India tried contacting Shabana, but she did not respond to the call.
