Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu has forayed into the Tamil film industry with "Selvandhan", the dubbed version of "Srimanthudu", in a bid to make it big in Kollywood.
The Tamil and Telugu versions of the movie hit the screens on Friday. It is an action-drama, written and directed by Koratala Siva. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in the flick.
Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Sukanya, Brahmanandam, Sivaji Raja, Aamani, Angana Roy, Sanam Shetty, Tejaswi Madivada, Sampath Raj, Mukesh Rishi, Rahul Ravindran and others are part of the cast. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music, R Madhi has handled the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has edited the flick.
The hero Mahesh Babu, who is the son of rich millionaire Jagapathi Babu, is not the one, who wants to just sit on his father's empire and lead a normal life. He wants to do something for the society. As the fate has it, he falls in love with Shruti Haasan to come to a village, which writes new chapters in his successful journey.
