Selena Gomez is reportedly preparing for her live onstage performance and her boyfriend The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, is helping her out.

The 24-year-old It Ain't Me singer rarely appeared on stage after cancelling her Revival tour last year and people close to her recently claimed that the Starboy singer is helping out to restore her confidence.

"Abel has really made her feel more secure about getting back in the studio and back on stage performing. Also, thanks to being on tour with him and watching his ease doing shows, Selena feels like she might be ready to get back on the road again soon too!" an industry insider told The Hollywood Life.

The insider also stated that The Weeknd makes his girlfriend Gomez feel healthier and lively. "Having Abel in her life has given Selena new found strength and confidence. She credits her fresh, sexy romance with making her feel healthier and more alive than ever before," the source said.

"Abel's experience in the industry and his own success has put him in a unique position to give her great advice on her own career decisions," the source added.

However, people close to the 27-year-old I Feel It Coming singer believes not all is well between the celebrity couple. According to the insider, the two of them had heated arguments after Gomez found some suspicious text messages on The Weeknd's phone.

"The Weeknd denied everything and told Selena that her clingy behavior was making him feel stressed out. Selena's acting so crazy that he's starting to have second thoughts about their relationship. Friends are concerned that it's only a matter of time before it all ends in tears due to Selena's self-sabotaging ways," an In Touch Weekly source said.
