Samsung's recently launched Galaxy Note Edge has been put up for pre-order in India.

Company's official e-commerce affiliate Amazon has begun taking orders for the Galaxy Note Edge for ₹64,900. It has confirmed that the flagship phablet will be available in Charcoal Black and Frost White colour variants and be released on 5 January.

Originally, Galaxy Note Edge was unveiled along with Galaxy Note 4 back in September and now finally it is all set to hit the Indian market next week.

It packs pretty much the same internal hardware specifications (including S-Pen functionality) seen inside the flagship Samsung phablet, sans the display specifications. It boasts of a 5.6-inch (Quad-HD Plus resolution) unique curved-edge display. This additional screen space on the edge provides quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality – even when the cover is closed.

Other stipulated features include Snapdragon 805 series quad-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory (expandable), 16-megapixel main camera, 3.7-megapixel snapper on the front and a 3000 mAh battery.

Competition:

Once released, Galaxy Note Edge will be competing with the new Apple iPhone 6 Plus, Motorola Google Nexus 6, LG G3 and its own sibling Galaxy Note 4.
