Smartphone leader Samsung is reportedly prepping to launch the third generation Galaxy Grand in India.

Samsung's new teaser poster now available with BGR India displays a half-image of a smartphone with a tagline – 'THE GRANDEST EVER COMING SOON'. It doesn't take a genius to guess that the company is implying that the new Galaxy Grand series is on its way.

Interesting thing to note is that Samsung will be hosting the global launch event in India. Subcontinent has become an important venue for smartphone makers as it holds huge population (approximately 60% people are still using feature-phones) of consumers who are gearing to migrate to smartphones.

Market analysts believe India and China and other Asian regions are key markets with high prospects of handset sales growth as the developed nations of North America and Europe have reached saturation in terms of penetration of smartphones.

Bringing focus back to the Galaxy Grand 3, it is learnt that the upcoming Samsung phone will be exclusively sold online via Snapdeal, which has now become a fad among smartphone makers to release devices to save inventory maintenance costs.

However, the details regarding the launch date and availability of Galaxy Grand 3 is yet to be ascertained.

As per the reports, Galaxy Grand 3 is said to sport 5.25-inch HD screen and is expected to be powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 series 64-bit CPU, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 13mp main camera and 5mp snapper on the front.
