While "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is minting huge money at the box office, Salman Khan is gearing up for a slew of projects. While he has already resumed shooting for "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", Yash Raj Film's "Sultan" is yet to go on floors.

While the lead actress of "Sultan" is yet to be announced, rumours are doing the rounds that yesteryear actress Rekha has been roped in to play Salman's mother.

Apparently, the makers recently approached Rekha who has given her nod, reports Bollywood Life.

If the gorgeous actress signs on the dotted line, Salman and Rekha will share screen space after three decades. They had last worked together in "Biwi Ho Toh Aisi".

Recently, there were reports that the "Khubsoorat" actress walked out of Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer "Fitoor" midway due to certain issues. And now with her joining "Sultan", one can only be hopeful that such incident doesn't occur again.

"Sultan" will see Salman playing a 40-year-old boxer, for which he is undergoing a strict physical regimen to get into the skin of the character. The actor will start shooting for the film after the release of Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".

Of late, "Sultan" has been creating a lot of buzz as both the Salman starrer and Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" are expected to hit screens during Eid 2016.

However, both Salman and Shah Rukh seem unperturbed by the box office clash.
