Earlier this week, Mumbai's sessions court found Salman Khan guilty in 2002 hit-and-run case and had sentenced him to five years in jail.

Salman was held guilty of killing one and injuring four others by ramming his SUV into a bakery shop on the night of 28 September 2002.

The news came as a shock to millions of fans worldwide and shattered the entire Khan family. There were also news that soon after the court pronounced its judgement, the actor looked dejected, but did not break down.

Salman was, however, granted interim bail of two days by the Bombay High Court the same day.

While the superstar may have wanted to spend his limited time outside jail with his family and discussing legal matters, it looked difficult as the superstar is wrapped up with his work commitments besides several well-wishers pouring in to his Galaxy Apartment, extending their support.

And, amid the emotional strain, the superstar, being a true professional, took out time to quickly record a special song for his production venture, "Hero", starring newcomers Sooraj Pacholi, son of actor Aditya Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, daughter of Sunil Shetty.

Salman, who had earlier agreed to lend his voice, recorded the track for music composer Amaal Mallik.

However, on Friday, 8 May, Salman and his family heaved a sigh of relief after the Bombay High Court suspended the sentence of Salman and granted him bail after the actor's lawyer appealed to the High Court for suspension of the five-year jail sentence.
