Royal Enfield's adventure motorcycle -- the Himalayan -- was spotted in army green colour, fuelling fresh rounds of rumours in the auto corridor about the launch of the new colour variant.

Caught on camera by Rushlane, the Army Green Himalayan was believed to have been spotted at a dealership at Ahmedabad. It is not clear whether the spotted new colour variant of the Royal Enfield's adventure motorcycle is a customised model or is actually in the offing. The Himalayan Army Green looks interesting, not just because of the colour, but also because of the accessories on it. The spotted Himalayan variant is seen with jerrycans on each side of the fuel tank and cloth panniers in the same green colour.

The Himalayan, which was launched in the country in March this year, is currently being offered in two colours -- Granite and Snow. The Himalayan, the first adventure motorcycle from the Chennai based manufacturer, has been priced at Rs. 1.73 lakh on-road Delhi. The motorcycle currently commands over four months of waiting period.

It is powered by a 411cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that is tuned to dish out 24.5bhp at 6,500rpm and 32Nm torque between 4,000 and 4,500rpm, paired with five-speed transmission. The motorcycle is offered in two colour options — Granite and Snow. It is built around a new double-cradle chassis, designed by Royal Enfield-owned Harris Performance and rides on a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch at the rear.
