It looks like Royal Enfield is gearing up for the launch of a new motorcycle with a 750cc engine in India. If emerging reports are anything to go by, Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield would launch its much-rumoured 750cc motorcycle in early 2017.

According to RushLane, the company has finally spilled the beans on the launch of the 750cc engine-powered motorcycle in India and it could come to the market by March 2017. While other information about the engine and the upcoming motorcycle is not known at this point of time, just the news about the launch of a new motorcycle from Royal Enfield would be music to the ears of the bike lovers in India.

The development of the 750cc engine motorcycle was recently confirmed through a spy shot that showed it being tested on the roads. The 750cc engine is rumoured to churn out a power of 45-50bhp and a peak torque of more than 60Nm.This engine is also expected to be the company's most powerful mill.

Previous reports had also indicated that the company is also working on a 400cc engine, which will be tuned to develop 40 Nm. There have also been reports that the company is readying an all new 600-650cc motorcycle, which will be designed and developed for global markets such as the US and the UK.

Royal Enfield is investing Rs 600 crore in FY-17 at its third plant in Vallam Vadagal, UK tech centre and new products. The third plant of the company is expected to become operational by September 2017.
