French car maker Renault's new MPV Lodgy is reportedly coming to India in April.
The twitter handle of Autocar India magazine, which tweeted the cover page of its March issue, says the Lodgy MPV launch is set to launch in April. Going by the cover of the magazine, the Lodgy MPV is likely to get two states of tune -- 85PS and 110PS. It was reported earlier the Renault will be launching both Lodgy and its top-end version Stepway in India together.
To be manufactured at Renault-Nissan plant in Oragadam, Chennai, the upcoming Lodgy will rival Honda Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy. The model is likely to get a price tag in the range of ₹8- ₹11 lakh in India.
Visually, Lodgy MPV is likely to have lot of similarities with its international counterpart. The Stepway variant of Lodgy is expected to get skid-plates at the front and rear end, side body cladding, rear parking sensors and chrome grille with the 'Logdy' badging.
Inside the cabin, the Lodgy is expected to accommodate a touchscreen infotainment system, three-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone dashboard and centre armrest for rear passengers.
In another development, the emerging reports on the web suggest that Renault, the maker of popular SUV Duster has temporally halted the production of its hatchback Pulse and Scala sedan in India owing to poor demand. Rumours are also rife that the company is getting ready to launch a facelifted avatar of its Pulse in the country this month.
