Sivakarthikeyan's Remo has turned out to be a successful venture at box office in key overseas centres. The Tamil movie has made good collections in places like the US, UK and Malaysia.

Remo has earned Rs 1.26 crore by the end of its second weekend in the US. It was played in 25 screens after the movie collected Rs 96.29 lakh from 70 screens in the first weekend.

Sivakarthikeyan's film has raked in Rs 90.82 lakh in over 10 days in the UK and it has collected Rs 4.86 lakh in New Zealand. However, Malaysia has turned out to be a big overseas centre once again for a Tamil film.

Remo minted Rs 1.8 crore by the end of its second weekend in Malaysia. The movie had earned Rs 1.12 crore from 36 screens and the movie retained all the screens in its second weekend. The trade experts expect the gross collection of the film to cross over Rs 2.5 crore by next weekend.

Meanwhile, the worldwide gross collection of the movie is nearing the Rs 50-crore mark. The Tamil flick earned over Rs 42 crore in 10 days at the domestic box office and ended its second weekend on a high note.

On the other hand, Rajinikanth has praised Remo and Sivakarthikeyan's performance in the film. "A great star is born! Congratulations Sivakarthikeyan"-appreciation from Thalaivar @superstarrajini sir after watching #RemoHumbled&happy [sic]" the actor tweeted.

Producer RD Raja too shared his excitement following Rajinikanth's appreciation. He posted, "After watching Remo @superstarrajini sir called me and @Siva_Kartikeyan n congratulate usHe likes Remo very much and praised a lot." He added, "As an ardent fan of Rajini Sir it's a great Acknowledgement and Achievement in my life time for all the hard workThank u very much sir."
