Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone might not have admitted their supposed love affair but the former's recent remark validates the supposition.

At the launch of the song "Gajanana" from the movie "Bajirao Mastani" on Tuesday, Ranveer stated that he would wait a lifetime for Deepika.

"I was told that people have been waiting since 9 am for us. But Deepika is so beautiful I would wait a lifetime for her," NDTV quoted Ranveer as saying when he apologised to the audience at the event for being late.

Later, Deepika was asked to comment on Ranveer's candid remark and the "Bajirao Mastani" actress made a safe reply.

"Please ask him (Ranveer) in what context he said that. If it is in context of waiting to board a train or meeting at a restaurant," Deepika told The Indian Express.

The song "Gajanana" happens to be the first song from "Bajirao Mastani" which also features Priyanka Chopra along with Ranveer and Deepika.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the magnum opus will present Ranveer as Bajirao, while Deepika will be Mastani and Priyanka will portray the role of Bajirao's first wife, Kashibai.

This is the second time that Ranveer and Deepika have featured together in a film, the first being "Goliyon Ki Raas Leela-Ram Leela", though Ranveer had a cameo in "Finding Fanny" which had Arjun Kapoor along with Deepika.

Ranveer and Deepika's chemistry in "Ram Leela" was very much liked by the audience and the duo came up as one of the hottest couples on screen and supposedly off-screen as well.

Now, the two are sharing screen space in "Bajirao Mastani", which is slated to be released on 18 December.
