Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji and Yash Raj Films' head honcho Aditya Chopra, who were expecting their first child in January, welcomed a baby girl at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday.
"I would like to thank all my well wishers and fans. Today life has given us God's greatest gift with Adira. We thank fans our friends and well wishers for their unconditional support and blessings. With joy we begin this new chapter in our lives," Rani said in a statement.
Aditya Chopra's brother and actor Uday Chopra announced on Twitter that his sister-in-law delivered a baby girl.
"IT'S A GIRL!!!!!" he tweeted.
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor tweeted the news and also revealed that the baby girl has been named Adira.
"Rani and Aditya Chopra become proud parents to a baby girl named Adira. Congratulations!" Rishi Kapoor tweeted.
