Ramesh Pisharody is a familiar face for the Kerala audience since he became a part of popular Malayalam comedy soap opera Cinemala in the 1990s. The stand-up comedian, who has also acted in a few movies, is currently known for hosting comedy chat show Badai Bungalow on Malayalam entertainment channel Asianet.

After Sunday's (October 16) episode of Badai Bungalow with superstar Mohanlal, Ramesh has been gaining more attention from the audience, but this time for his absence. As Ramesh is in the US for stage shows, the episode was hosted by another popular presenter Rajesh. Since then, the show has got a massive response from the audience, who have been talking about why they think Ramesh is the best person to host the comedy show.

Ramesh Pisharody missing from Badai Bungalow; viewers want him to return to chat show

Overwhelmed by the support of the viewers, he responded saying he will soon join the team of Badai Bungalow. "Dear friends, Few episodes of Badai Bungalow have become the topic of discussion after my absence in it. I couldn't be part of those episodes as I am currently in the US to attend MG Sreekumar show. Normally in these situations, the episodes will be shot in advance and it didn't happen this time due to the busy schedule of Mukeshettan, who is also a MLA, other artistes and the guests [translated from Malayalam]," Ramesh wrote in a letter he shared on his Facebook page.

"I am very honoured to see the kind of love you shower on me upon my absence in a single episode. Trollers, you are so sweet. I also thank Rajesh, who has hosted many shows, for accepting the request to present Badai Bungalow without any ego factor despite knowing its risk factor," he said. The comedian has also shared a few memes about him that were doing the rounds on social media.

Meanwhile, Sunday's episode was graced by Mohanlal, Anusree and Baby Meenakshi, who attended the show as part of the success celebration of their latest outing Oppam, helmed by Priyadarshan. The crime thriller is said to have already entered the Rs 50 crore club at the Kerala box office.
