The shooting of Vijay's 61 movie will commence in February 2017 and the makers had initially planned to release the movie for Deepavali festival next year. Now, the plans have undergone some changes.

The buzz says that the movie, which is presently being referred to as Vijay 61, will not be out as planned before. It is because of Rajinikanth's 2.0 aka Enthiran 2, which will see the light of the day in multiple languages on the occasion of Deepavali.

To avoid a clash with the biggie, the makers of Vijay 61 have now decided to release it during Navaratri festival. There will be a three week- gap between the two films and this is said to be enough for Ilayathalapathy's flick to rake in good profits. However, there is also possibility of the movie being further advanced or delayed and this depends on the completion of the shooting and the post-production works.

Recently, the makers of 2.0 had announced that the movie would hit the screens on the said date. Many filmmakers, who had set their eyes on Deepavali release, are now rescheduling their plans as the Rajinikanth-starrer will be the biggest release of the year in 2017. Popular Bollywood director Rohit Shetty too has decided to postpone his next much-awaited movie Golmaal 4 to avoid clash with the superstar's film.

2.0 is a science fiction in which Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar play the lead roles. Amy Jackson will be seen in the female lead in the flick, which is written and directed by Shankar. The Lyca Productions-bankrolled flick is made on a budget of Rs 360 crore, which is the highest for an Indian film until now.

Coming to Vijay 61, it is written and directed by Atlee Kumar, who had earlier directed Ilayathalapathy in Theri. Sri Thenandal Films is bankrolling the flick and the cast and crew are yet to be announced.
