Jr NTR-Samantha starrer "Rabhasa" has minted ₹24.1 crore share in its first week at the worldwide box office.

"Rabhasa" minted ₹18.17 crore at the AP/Nizam box office. With the inclusion of the film's collections from other states and overseas markets, its first week share now amounts to ₹24.1 crore, reported Andhraboxoffice. To check out the area-wise collections, click HERE.

The NTR starrer failed to beat the opening week worldwide collections of Pawan Kalyan's "Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu" ("CGR"), which earned ₹27.9 crore. "Rabhasa" has also not beaten the first week share of NTR's "Ramayya Vastavayya", which minted ₹28.6 crore.

"Rabhasa", which took a grand opening, has failed to pick up and has been earning poor collections with each passing day. The action entertainer has ended its first week on a poor note.

It will now be interesting to see how the film fares in the second week as there is no big competition around. If "Rabhasa" manages to pick up, it will help boost its collections to some extent.

The NTR starrer was carrying a lot of pre-release buzz, owing to the impressive teasers and songs. However, the film's content failed to impress the audience as it had nothing new to offer and was just a typical commercial entertainer.

NTR has carried the entire film on his shoulders and his performance won accolades from critics and the audience alike. However, it did not help much in the film's performance.

The actor's last release "Ramayya Vastavayya" did not set the cash registers ringing, and now "Rabhasa" has also failed to strike gold at the box office.

Meanwhile, NTR has moved on to his next project, which is directed by Puri Jagannadh. It is for the second time that the actor-director duo has teamed up, after their 2004 film "Andhrawala".

The film's shoot has commenced and the first schedule has been completed. The second schedule is all set to start from 9 September.

Kajal Aggarwal will play the female lead in the film. This will be the third time that she will team up with NTR. It will be interesting if the hit pair will be able to repeat their success with their new project.

The film, which is tentatively titled "Neno Rakam", is all set to hit the screens during the Sankranti festival period in 2015.
