Raabta and Behen Hogi Teri are off to a dismal start at the domestic box office on their opening day. But Sushant Singh Rajput's film has got better response than Rajkummar Rao's movie.

Raabta and Behen Hogi Teri are among the much-hyped and highly promoted Bollywood movies of 2017. But the Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer received more spotlight because of better promotion, more screen count and star power. However, the advance booking for both the films,  Raabta and  Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan starrer Behen Hogi Teri, was poor and the trade analysts were sceptic about their opening.

Raabta has released in over 1,800 screens across the domestic market this Friday and opened to poor response in the morning shows with its average occupancy ranging between 15 and 20 percent. On the other hand, Behen Hogi Teri was released in over 1,100 screens across the country and it registered an average of 5 to 10 percent occupancy in the theatres across the domestic market in the morning shows.

Both the films have observed some increase in the footfalls for the afternoon shows, but it is not upto the expected mark. Girish Johar‏, an observer of Bollywood, tweeted: "Poor start..in early shows at the BO.. #Raabta #BehenHogiTeri... hope they pick up... #TheMummy is below par too !!! Evening onwards is key."
