Priyanka Chopra gets 10 million followers on Instagram; Deepika Padukone still most-followed Indian celebrity

Priyanka Chopra has attained 10 millions followers on Instagram but Deepika Padukone still remains the most followed Indian on the photo-sharing website.

PeeCee expressed gratitude to her fans by sharing a post, celebrating the fact that she has become the second most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram. She shared a small video in which she is seen sporting a pair of sunglasses with "1" and "0" written on each side.

She captioned the post as, "Thankful for our 10 million family on Instagram.. Lots of love and gratitude! #10MforPriyankaonInsta [sic]." While Priyanka is followed by 10 million people on Instagram, Deepika still holds the record of being the most followed Bollywood star on the site with 10.7 million followers.

While Deepika and Priyanka are currently two of the leading Bollywood actresses, the duo has earned considerable number of fans outside India too. Both of them are set to make their Hollywood debut. The "Mary Kom" actress will be seen sharing screen space with Dwayne Johnson in "Baywatch" while Deepika will romance Vin Diesel in "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage."

"Baywatch" will be released on May 19, 2017. Deepika's film will hit the screens on Jan. 20 next year. However, Priyanka had stepped into the American entertainment industry much earlier, with her English songs and the TV series, "Quantico."

The two actresses had worked together in "Bajirao Mastani," which was a blockbuster and was acclaimed by critics too. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film featured Ranveer Singh.
