Power Star Pawan Kalyan, who is appalled by the black marketing of essential supplies in Visakhapatnam, has requested the state government to take action against the people who are involved in it.

On 13 October, Pawan Kalyan donated ₹50 lakh towards the AP CM relief fund for the devastation caused by Hudhud cyclone on Sunday. Meanwhile, he urged his fans to come forward to support the relief operations in the Uttarandhra region. On Thursday, Pawan met many people affected by cyclone and expressed his solidarity and support to them. He assured to help them in all ways.

During his visit to Vizag, the power Star was shocked to hear about the black market in the cyclone affected area.

"I've been informed that a lot of traders are resorting to black marketing of essential supplies like milk, water and petrol. I urge the state government to look into the issue so that the common man doesn't suffer at this hour," The Times of India quoted the actor as saying.

"We should all come together and work towards a common goal and help people who have faced the brunt of this devastating cyclone. I shall meet officials of the AP state government and also central authorities to discuss more about the relief operations. I assure all the support to the people of Uttarandhra and once again, I appeal everyone to join hands and help those who are in need," Pawan added.

On Thursday, Pawan, who is known for his generous attitude, also met a 12-year old girl from Palwancha, Khammam district. The girl named Srija is suffering from brain tumour and the doctors, who treated her, informed her parents that she has very few days to live on this earth. She, who is a huge fan of Pawan wanted to meet him once before she breathes her last. He met her soon after he heard about her wish from the media.
