Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker died in a freak car accident back in 2013. The deceased actor's mother Cheryl Walker has now revealed the last few moments of his life.

Featuring in Paul's documentary titled I Am Paul Walker, his mom revealed that had it not been for a text message, he would not have gone out of the house. Cheryl revealed that Paul had forgotten about an event for his Reach Out Worldwide charity following which he rushed out of their house.

According to People magazine, the actor had taken a break from filming Fast and Furious 7 and decided to spend time with his teenage daughter. He had also made plans of picking out a Christmas tree on the evening of his death so that he could decorate it with her.

"We were having this good conversation, and he'd forgotten about an event he had," Cheryl explained. "He got a text and said, 'Oh my gosh, I'm supposed to be somewhere!'" she added.

Paul immediately rushed out of the door in order to attend the fundraiser. It is reported that the funds were being collected to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Little did anyone know that when Walker stepped into the Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend, financial adviser and former racecar driver Roger Rodas, it would be the last time anyone would ever see him.

The car crashed and exploded, killing both of them on the spot. "I think so many people think, 'Oh, he was just a movie star who was killed in a car accident.' But there was so much more to him. That was just a piece of who he was. He was an amazing man," his mother added.

"I've gotten letters from people all over the world who said he made a difference in their lives. That is such a blessing. He's never forgotten," Cheryl said.

She also said that the family remembers Paul in their own unique way. On his birth anniversary, (September 12), the family goes down to Huntington Beach (one of his favourite spots) to throw sunflowers in the ocean. They sit and share their fondest memories of Paul with each other.

This and many other insights into Paul's life will be made public through his documentary releasing on August 11.
