Belgian prosecutors have denied media reports that Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam was arrested in Brussels.

Earlier, reports had emerged that Salah has been arrested.

Currently a massive manhunt is on for one Salah, after investigations found that he had rented the black Volkswagen Polo that was used by the group that carried out the deadly massacre at the Bataclan concert hall.

The 26-year-old has been declared a "dangerous individual" by the police and several agencies are on his lookout.

 Salah was last spotted at the Belgian border, where he was allowed to pass since at that time, he was not on the list of suspects, according to The Guardian. 

His brother, Ibrahim Abdeslam, has been named by the French police as the bomber who carried out the suicide attack at the Comptoir Voltaire cafe.

According to the police, on the night of 13 November, at least eight attackers carried out a string of six coordinated attacks in Paris.

Six of the death squad members were killed after they detonated their suicide belts, while one was shot dead by the police. The investigators now believe that the Salah Abdeslam, a Belgian-born French national, was the eighth attacker, according to The Washington  Post.
