For quite some time now, Arjun Bijlani and Drashti Dhami have been shooting for their much-talked about upcoming show Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil in Austria. However, their shoot came to a halt recently when a group of people who came to have a glimpse of the lead actor. While fans thronging into an outdoor shoot location are nothing new, this was rather funny as the fans mistook Arjun for Shah Rukh Khan.

The report said that Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which has Shah Rukh in a cameo role, had been extensively shot in foreign locales and when some Austrians fans of SRK saw some Indians shooting in Vienna, they assumed that it was SRK shooting for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

The show's crew members apparently had a tough time dispersing the crowd as they refused to leave the spot without a glimpse of King Khan.

"We were shooting a serious scene together, suddenly in minutes we realised that a crowd of fans had surrounded us. Shah Rukh Khan is an extremely popular actor in Austria, his fans misinterpreted the shoot as Ae Dil Hai Mushkil shoot and were waiting for hours just to get SRK's glimpse," Indo Asian News Service (IANS) quoted Arjun as saying.

"Our shoot was on hold for three hours. It took a lot of time and energy to convince them that there is confusion," he added.

Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil will be telecast from November 7 at the 8 pm slot on Star Plus. The show will apparently replace another immensely popular show Siya Ke Ram, which has Ashish Sharma as Ram and Madirakshi Mundle as Sita.

The show is inspired from hit Bollywood film Pardes starring Shah Rukh and Mahima Chaudhry. Arjun will play the role of Anand, a character which is similar to Shah Rukh's role in the film. This will be the first time that Arjun and Drashti will be sharing the screen space.
