Pakistan's Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has accused India of financing terror attacks on its soil and blamed it for the Attock suicide blast that killed Punjab Home Minister Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada along with 19 others on Sunday.

"India is talking about peace but promoting terror," he told Pakistan Rangers at a passing-out parade at their Mandi Bahauddin academy, The Nation reported.

Nisar Ali Khan also accused India of firing on civilians in the villages along the line of Control (LoC).

"Who is behind terrorist attacks (in Pakistan)? It is very clear to us. There are elements within us who target innocent people for money they receive from our enemy... this is the same enemy who we come face to face courageously at the Wagah border daily," he said.

"(Our enemy) talks of friendship on the one hand and on the other it fires shells on civilians along the LoC and working boundaries. We have to win the war on terror at any costs," he added.

The minister said that the culprits of the suicide attack on Khanzada's political office in Shadi Khan village in Attock city will soon be brought to justice.

"The Attock blast probe will take some more time but security agencies are closing in on the suspects. The culprits are on our target, we are just waiting for completion of the investigation and they will be brought to justice soon," he said.

Nisar Ali Khan's comments come days ahead of the NSA-level talks between the two nations. His comments are likely to escalate the tensions between the neighbouring countries that have been exchanging fire along the border in Jammu and Kashmir for the last few days.

Even as Khan blamed India for the terror attacks in Pakistan, Indian investigation into the Udhampur attack on 5 August has revealed that the captured militant Mohammad Naveed alias Usman and other Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were trained by Pakistani Army and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
