Former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik has announced his retirment from Test cricket.

The 33-year-old all-rounder made his international Test debut on 29 August, 2001, and announced his decision on Tuesday following the completion of the third day's play against England in the ongoing 3rd and final Test in Sharjah.

"We have some good youngsters and now is the time to retire. Family comes first. I want to focus on the 2019 World Cup," Malik told after the end of the day's proceedings today.

Malik is also the husband of Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza.
