Contrary to previous reports, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor may not have any intimate scenes in Padmavati. The latest buzz suggests that there will be no intimate or kissing scenes between the two stars in the movie, courtesy Shahid's wife Mira Rajput.
It has been reported that Shahid does not want to have any love-making scenes with Deepika in the movie Padmavati as that might disturb Mira.
"Since Shahid is newly married, he wasn't comfortable with the intimate scenes as he doesn't know how his wife Mira will react to it," The Times of India quoted a source as saying. Mira had recently delivered her first child.
Earlier, it was reported that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted Shahid and Deepika to shoot some passionate love-making scenes for Padmavati. The two will be seen playing a married couple in the film. While Deepika will play the titular role, Shahid will portray the character of Rana Rawal Ratan Singh. It also features Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji.
This is the second time that Deepika is working with Bhansali. Earlier, Ranveer and Deepika had featured in Bajirao Mastani that was also a period drama. It had turned to be a blockbuster. The movie Padmavati is slated to be released in November 2017.
