The Oscars 2017 ended on a high note with Moonlight taking home the Best Picture Award, Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon's bromance and Warren Beatty announcing La La Land as the Best Picture.

12.09 am EST: Not La La Land, but Moonlight has won the Best Picture Award.

"There's only one 'Braveheart' in this room and he's not going to unite us either," he said.

"Black people saved NASA and white people saved jazz," he said talking about the nominated movies. 

8.30 pm EST: And it has begun with Justin Timberlake's performance. Timberlake kicked off the Oscars with a rocking performance.

7.42 pm EST: Jimmy Kimmel calls Matt Damon dead man. "Dead man walking the red carpet. #Oscars," he tweeted.

7.35 pm EST: Jamie Dornan with wife arrives on the red carpet. Emma Stone, who has been nominated in the Best Actress category, is looking stunning in a retro gold gown. 

7.28 pm EST: Janelle Monáe, Emma Watson, Scarlett Johansson, Michelle Williams and Alicia Vikander are already among the best-dressed celebrity list tonight.

"He's talentless himself... I'm afraid, I think I'm in for it tonight," Damon said about the host Jimmy Kimmel.

Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the 89th Academy Awards live at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles on 26 February. The biggest Hollywood night will begin at 7 pm EST on Sunday night (Monday 5.30 am IST).

On Sunday night, the winners in the 24 different categories, including Best Actor, Best Director, Best Film and Best Actress will be announced. La La Land, Moonlight, Arrival, Manchester By The Sea, Hacksaw Ridge, Lion, Fences, Hell or High Water and Hidden Figures are competing to win the big awards. So who will win at the Oscars 2017?
