The 2016 award season kicked off with the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, 6 January. In the coming couple of months, we will see many more, like the Golden Globes and Writers' Guild Awards, before the most awaited and coveted Academy Awards, better known as Oscars 2016, takes place.
The 88th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, 28 February, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood at 8:30 pm (EST). The show, hosted by the Chris Rock, who also anchored the ceremony at the 77th Academy Awards of 2005, will be aired by ABC.
The nomination polls for this year's Oscars will be closed by Friday, 8 January 8 pm (EST). Ahead of that, we would like to predict who the nominees for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actor and Best Director will be. Do not forget to vote for contenders of your choice, and add those we have missed.
The official nominations will be announced at the Samuel Godlwyn Theater at 8:30 am (EST) on Thursday, 14 January, for which we will be providing the live-streaming information. So, do not forget to see how many of our guesses made it to the final nominations:
