As fans impatiently wait for the return of "The Originals" on 8 October, we have collected some scoop for you that should keep your vampire needs satisfied for a while. The CW series has been on hiatus since the season 2 finale episode titled "Ashes to Ashes", which led to the crumbling down of Mikaelson clan.

In order to defeat his evil aunt Dahlia(Claudia Black), Klaus (Joseph Morgan) made some difficult decisions that further alienated him from his family, especially his brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies).

The only thing that unites them is their love for Hope. Elijah is willing to put up with any amount of Klaus' tantrums to make sure that Hope is taken care of and that his promise to Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is fulfilled.

Moreover, many forces are preparing to take the Mikaelsons down and they should be prepared, especially for Davina's (Danielle Campbell) wrath.

The new leader of the New Orleans witches coven, Davina wanted to bring back her romantic interest Kol Mikaelson (Daniel Sharman) from the dead, but she was tricked by Klaus and Rebecca (Claire Holt) into resurrecting their mother instead.

She is bitter and hell-bent on getting revenge, not just for herself, but for all the witches who had to live in New Orleans fearing the vampires. However, her wish of seeing Kol in "The Originals" may be fulfilled, albeit in his other body.

According to reports, Nathaniel Buzolic, who played Kol in the earlier episodes, will be back for season 3. However, he may only be seen in the flashbacks, meaning Davina will never get to meet him.

Other threats for the Michaelsons come from the Vampires that they created over the years.

As "The Vampire Diaries" fans knows, there are three sire lines of "The Originals", and they are looking for ways to kill the Mikaelsons without killing themselves. We know that if an original vampire dies, his/her sire line also gets wiped off, but according to the promo for season 3, some vampires that are desperate to get rid of "The Originals" have figured out a way around it.

Meanwhile, the token human Cami (Leah Pipes) is getting a new human counterpart in Detective Will Kinney (Jason Dohring). He is extremely proud of his righteous ways and is unaware of the existence of Vampires, Werewolves and Witches in New Orleans.

How will he find out about the supernatural beings, and if he doesn't, how will he justify the strange deaths in his turf? Will Cami initiate him into the world of Supernatural?

Find out when "The Originals" season 3 returns to The CW on 8 October. Till then, come back here for regular updates and scoops.
