While the release of OnePlus' new flagship smartphone, presumably called the "OnePlus 5", is still weeks away, frequent leaks and rumours have helped it become the talk of the town these days. Adding to growing rumour mill of specs for this year's "flagship killer," a leaked render of the upcoming handset surfaced online on Tuesday with interesting details about the device.

The leaked render of what is claimed to be the "OnePlus 5" suggests that the new handset could feature a dual camera setup on its back. If the feature indeed turns out to be part of the final product, which is expected to debut over the next two months, it will help the OnePlus 5 compete against rivals like the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Apple iPhone 7 Plus that feature similar dual cameras.

Other details including the camera's image sensors are still unavailable, but earlier rumours suggested that it could sport the same 16MP snapper found inside the existing OnePlus 3T.

Another obvious aspect to notice in the OnePlus 5 render is that the company could stick to the back hue, which was introduced with the OnePlus 3T. While missing antenna lines on the upper side of the phone's back makes it confounding, an antenna band towards the bottom, however, is slightly visible. The same bottom element also indicates that OnePlus 5 could feature a "metal build" similar to its predecessors like OnePlus 3 and 3T.

The render also points to a more innovative solution in terms of the fingerprint sensor, which is not present below the rear camera. The absence of the sensor clearly suggests that it could be incorporated under the display.

Rumours are rife that the next-generation OnePlus 5 will feature a 5.5-inch 2K display while some also expect the device to sport a full HD screen. When it comes to its internals, the handset is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset.

It won't come as a surprise if the device comes with 8GB RAM, because it was OnePlus who first introduced 4GB and 6GB RAM phones to the market. Other likely specs of the OnePlus 5 includes up to 256GB of storage, a 3,000 mAh battery and a 7mm body.
