Prior to the official launch of OnePlus X in October 2015, it was rumoured to be a compact version of the OnePlus 2; but the device came out in a completely different avatar and lacked top-end features.

Now, an unnamed OnePlus handset has shown up at Chinese government-owned telecommunication certifying agency TENAA's website.

On the website, we see a smartphone code-named One E1000 with an uncanny resemblance to the OnePlus X, but its internal hardware is similar to the marquee phone, hinting that this mystery phone might be the rumoured compact flagship OnePlus phone

As per the listing, One E1000 features 4.9-inch full HD display, 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and boast the powerful 64-bit 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-core CPU similar to the one we see inside the OnePlus 2. It is also said to house a 13MP primary camera on the rear-side and 8MP snapper on the front, reported Times News (UK).

However, it is yet to be ascertained whether this device features fingerprint sensor or not. Once we get confirmation that One E1000 houses this crucial biometric security system, this device can be assumed to be OnePlus 2 Mini.

In a related development, OnePlus launched a new OnePlus X Champagne variant in global markets, including India. Previously, it was exclusively sold in China.

The new OnePlus X variant flaunts premium gold hued frame and white cream body cover. Except the exterior colour combination, other features inside the device remain same as the original Onyx model. It costs same as the former. In India, it can be bought for Rs.16,999 ($257/€236).
