"Once Upon a Time" will be back on ABC with season 5 from 27 September at 8pm with few changes in its cast list. While some new members will join the character list, few may not have a major role to play.

Merlin aka Sorcerer will reportedly play a main role in the upcoming sequel as he is the only one who can save Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) from darkness.

Although the actor for the role is yet to be revealed, an article by TV Line states that it could be a "Black Brit" in between his 30s or 40s with "natural British accent". The website claims that the character could be highly intelligent with a "great wisdom".

Another character to join the list is King Arthur, a resident of Camelot. He is described as a great ruler and a "master manipulator" with an ability to "carry a grudge to the grave". The actor to portray the character might have the same features of Merlin.

Meanwhile, Arthur's "eternal burning love" Queen Guinevere may also join "Once Upon a Time" in season 5. The character is said to be played by a Latino actress in her mid 20s to mid 30s.

Fans of the fairytale series will also get to watch Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) and Zelena aka Wicked Witch of the West (Rebecca Mader) as series regulars. According to a poll conducted by International Business Times, Mader's character could steal the dagger from Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) to take her revenge against Evil Queen Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla).

However, Will Scarlet aka Knave of Hearts aka White King, played by Michael Socha, will just have guest appearance in season 5 of ABC fairytale series, stated TV Line.
