Amiibo Figures

There are the likes of Sony and Microsoft who have a certain take on the gaming industry, with their respective consoles, PS4 and Xbox One, booming as usual. And then there's Nintendo, who has a slightly different view of things, although nothing as such that could leverage it above the big boys in the industry.

Interestingly enough, even though Nintendo has suffered immeasurably due to its faltering sales numbers, the company still boasts some of the best first-party titles that keep the flickering flame alive. And now, taking advantage of the upcoming E3, we expect the company to reveal even more for its die-hard fans.

So what does Nintendo exactly plan on delivering at this year's E3? Will it have enough firepower to counter its most immediate rivals in the market? We take a closer look.

Firstly, don't expect the Legend of Zelda to appear at this year's E3, or for that matter, anytime soon. The Legend of Zelda for Wii U has already been delayed until 2016, and Nintendo has even confirmed that it won't feature the game at this year's event. Now although this will come as a blow to fans and even to Nintendo, the company plans on bringing in Star Fox as the next big thing in 2015.

Talking about Star Fox again, not much is known about the game. The concept of the game cannot be doubted though, as Shigeru Miyamoto, back in 2014, had already shown a basic Wii U. Apart from that, expect some kind of gameplay information related to it to be shown off.

Next up, Mario Maker and Yoshi's Wooly World are two of the probable first party titles set for 2015 from Nintendo. Apart from that, expect details regarding preceding games coming to the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console. Also, DLCs for Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart may be on the cards.

Heading deeper into Amiibos, Nintendo will do itself a favour if it announces the already famed Amiibos with near-field tech and applications within Wii U and 3DS games. Maybe, this time around, the company will also see it fitting to introduce the concept of Amiibo into its more illustrious games of the past.
