Director Sudheer Varma's Telugu movie Keshava, starring Nikhil Siddharth, Ritu Varma and Isha Koppikar, has cleared the formalities required by the censor board.

Nikhil Siddharth, who had a blockbuster in the form of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, is now gearing up for his next release, Keshava. The makers of the movie held a special screening for the officials of the censor board on Monday. The officials are said to have been happy with the first copy of the film and they were all praise for the film unit.

The censor board has awarded Keshava a U/A certificate with a few suggestions for deletion. Soon after the decision, Sudheer Varma‏ took to his Twitter handle to update his followers with the news. The director tweeted: "#keshava censor done... its U/A with few ✂️"

G Sriniwasa Kumar, a public relations officer-turned-film producer, also tweeted: "#Keshava censor passed with U/A Grand release on 19th May Censor members appreciated the gripping film & super positive vibes all over."

Nikhil Siddharth is probably the only young Telugu actor who is experimenting with his roles and the stories of his movies. His recent experimental movies turned out to be big money spinners at the ticket counters.

The latest trailer shows that Keshava is a revenge thriller drama, which is set to be landmark film in his career.

Besides directing it, Sudheer Varma‏ has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues for Keshava, which is produced by Abhishek Nama under the banner Abhishek Pictures. Nikhil Siddharth, Ritu Varma and Isha Koppikar are playing the lead roles, while Rao Ramesh, Brahmaji, Ajay, Raja Ravindra, Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi Pullikonda appear in the supporting cast of the film.

The makers of Keshava released its trailer on the official YouTube channel of Abhishek Pictures on May 13. The video received 668,210 views, 14,740 thumbs up (likes), 215 thumbs down (dislikes) and 772 comments in less than two days. The trailer has not only impressed viewers, but also generated lot of curiosity about the film.
