The next generation Toyota Innova has been spied testing in Bangalore again, with an intriguing C-pillar, throwing out a clear picture of what to expect on its arrival.

The next generation 2016 Toyota Innova has been seen testing rigorously in the country, especially in Bangalore, where the company has one of its manufacturing facilities.

The latest spy shots are from the folks at IndianAutos Blog, and shows us the rear fascia of the new Innova. As seen before, this time too, the car was seen under heavy camouflage.

When compared to the current generation Innova, the new edition looks big and there seem to be a reworked front and rear bumper.

Slated to make its global debut at any of the Auto Expo sometimes during the next year, the new generation Innova will be reaching the Indian market in early 2016.

We do not know yet the visual modifications planned for this new gen Innova, however, we expect it to get a cosmetic makeover, which will include a new front fascia with rectangular grille, with three slats on top and three smaller slats at the bottom.

For the new generation 2016 Innova, we do not expect any mechanical modifications and thus we expect it to come with the same motor, but with minor tweaks to generate more power. It could also be offered with a new Toyota diesel engine coupled to both manual and automatic transmissions.

Built on a new ladder frame design, the 2016 Innova is likely to be more spacious. In India, it will be pinned against the newly launched Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia and from what we have heard, the car will get a price tag in the range of ₹9-₹15 lakh.

Recently, Toyota introduced a new edition of its popular MUV Innova in India with a price tag starting at ₹12.91 lakh.

The 'Toyota Innova Limited Edition', comes painted in two body colours- Bronze Mica Metallic colour and Silver Mica Metallic and will be available only on the Gx variant. The company will be selling only 1,500 units of this version and will be available only from September to November.
