New Pokemon game 'Pokeland' coming to iOS and AndroidThe Pokemon Company

Riding on Pokemon GO's immense success on iOS and Android, The Pokemon Company has just announced its fourth iteration in the Pokemon franchise called "Pokeland". The new game is now available as an alpha trial version with access to six islands, 52 stages and 134 types of toy Pokemons, along the lines of Pokemon Rumble series. Two other games preceding the announcement of Pokeland were Pokemon Duel and Pokemon: Magikarp Jump.

Players' objective is to collect as many toy versions of their favourite Pokemon as possible as they fight their way through numerous islands to reach the Champion Tower. Pokeland is reportedly the mobile version of Pokemon Rumble series, which albeit requires an internet connection to work along with access to an active Nintendo account.

The game will be available starting June 1 exclusively to Android users in Japan as The Pokemon Company is currently offering limited alpha access to it. The alpha version restricts testers and early-bird gamers from proceeding beyond floor 15 of the Championship Tower.

The alpha test phase will end on June 9 without permitting anyone to carry their in-game progress to the final release of the game. Meanwhile, there is still no word on the precise release date for the global version of the game for iOS and Android.
