Ford's new third-generation Endeavour premium SUV is poised to make its India debut in the first month of New Year. Ahead of its launch in the country, what appears to be the top-end version of the SUV has been caught on camera in its completely undisguised form.

Snapped by Indian AutosBlog, the latest spy shots of the new Endeavour shows what is believed to be the 3.2L AT Titanium variant in a shade of maroon. Although there is no confirmation on the exact launch date of the Endeavour, rumours suggest the company will pull the wraps off its new offering on 19 January.

In terms of dimension, the new full-sized seven-seater SUV measures 4893mm in length, 1,862mm in width and 1,837mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2850mm. The powerplant of the new Endeavour will include 2.2-litre, four-cylinder and 3.2-litre, five-cylinder engines. While the 3.2-liter five-cylinder TDCi diesel engine can develop 197bhp at 3,000rpm and 470Nm of torque at 1,750-2,500rpm with six-speed Automatic, the 2.2-litre, four-cylinder is tuned to churn out 157.8bhp at 3,200rpm and 385Nm of torque at 1,600-2,500rpm.

Built on a new ladder-on-frame chassis, the third-generation Endeavour will rival Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, SsangYong Rexton and Hyundai Santa Fe in India. The new Endeavour is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 22-25 lakh.
