It has been a decade since the first and last Family Guy movie released. However, it seems a sequel might be in the pipeline.

"Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story" released in 2005 and told the story of Stewie, who went on a journey to find his real father.

Fans have always been speculating regarding a new movie, but it never happened. IGN had reported Macfarlane himself confirmed in 2015 San Diego Comic Con that there won't be a Family Guy movie anytime soon.

However, a recent tweet by him indicates contradictory circumstance.

In the tweet, Macfarlane has replied to fans who have been asking for a new movie. He has written: "Soon. Soon."

It has been five months since Macfarlane denied any possibility of a new movie and it looks like he has surely changed his mind since then.

The first movie was received well by audience and fans. Though there are not many details available on the sequel, or a second "Family Guy" movie, it will hopefully o justice to the long-running series.

Besides the movie rumours, the show is currently on a mid-season break and will return in January.

In the upcoming episode titled "Candy, Quahog, Marshmallow", Peter, Cleveland and Joe find an old VHS tape of an Asian soap opera that Quagmire starred in when he lived in Korea.

When they can't find the series finale, the guys head to Korea to search for it, and there Quagmire is reunited with an old lover. Meanwhile, Stewie fears he's turning into a redhead.

The previous episode titled "A Shot in the Dark" ended on an embarrassing note for Peter as he mistook Cleveland for the thief who stole his couch and shot him. Luckily, Cleveland survived and Peter made it up to him for his blunder.
