A 20-member film unit of Telugu comedy film "Yetakaram.com" has reportedly gone missing during Saturday's earthquake in Kathmandu, Nepal. The natural disaster has claimed over 1,900 lives so far, as per reports.

The crew of "Yetakaram.com" had reportedly been shooting in Kathmandu for the last 10 days. They were said to be filming a song sequence, when an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 occurred at 11:26am on 25 April.

"Yetakaram.com" is directed by Veerender Reddy and produced by Ramesh Chandu under the banner of Unique Studios.

Newcomer Dinesh, who is playing the lead role in the film, was shooting for a song along with the heroine. Others in the crew included choreographer Vijay, cameraman Ranjith and makeup men Naveen and Yoganand. A total of 20 members were part of the shoot, when the place was struck by earthquake.

Relatives of these unit members reportedly could not communicate with the crew as the communication systems in the country were severely disrupted in the disaster.

Reports also suggest that some other tourists from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have gone missing in the earthquake-affected regions. The governments of both the states are reportedly making efforts to find the missing people and bring them back safely.

Andhra Padesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu tweeted, "Heartrending scenes of Earthquake's effect in Nepal and in few states of India. May they have strength to get through this difficult phase."

Later, he added, "In view of #Earthquake, we set up control room for queries about Telugu people in #Nepal. Call: 011-23782388 (Delhi) or 040-23456005 (Hyd)"

The disaster is said to be the worst earthquake in Nepal in more than 80 years. The Nepal government has intensified the rescue efforts while many countries including India and Pakistan along with several international organisations have offered aids to the quake-hit country.
