The MTV Video Music Awards 2018 recently concluded and women shone on the VMAs 2018 winners' list. From the Video of the Year winner to the Artist of the Year, women were in the spotlight.

Cardi B led the army of women at the 2018 MTV VMA as the young star won three awards this year. The female rapper won Best New Artist, Best Collaboration (with Jennifer Lopez for Dinero ft. DJ Khaled) and Song of Summer (with Bad Bunny / J Balvin: I Like It)

However, Camila Cabello won the most prestigious awards of the night: Video of the Year award for Havana, ft Young Thug and Artists of the Year.

Childish Gambino won three awards too. His "This is America" won Video With a Message, Best Direction and Best Choreography.

Avicii's last video song as a lead artist, before his sudden death earlier this year, was also recognised at the MTV VMAs 2018. He last released Lonely Together with Rita Ora and it won the Best Dance Video. Other winners included Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone.
