Motorola is tight-lipped on the release date and other details of its upcoming device dubbed as the Moto X 3rd Generation aka Moto X (2015), but that hasn't stopped tipsters from leaking details ranging from specifications to codename.

The Moto X 3rd Gen, which is expected to be released in September, bears model number XT1542, sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD display with 1,440x2,560 pixels, powered by 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and comes packed with 4GB RAM, according to a report by GSMArena

The website went on to claim that the device might come running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, house a 16mp main camera and 5mp front snapper, come packed with 32GB or 64GB internal memory and powered by a 3,280mAh battery.

In another report by STJSGadgets, the device is expected to come with features like a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution (2,560x1,440 pixels), Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 32GB or 64GB inbuilt memory and 4GB RAM, 16mp rear camera and 5mp front snapper, and a 3,280mAh battery.

Interestingly, most specifications of the Moto X 3rd Gen reported by GSMArena and STJSGadgets are in sync with each other except for the processor.

According to information given on Zauba website (via STJSGadgets), which keeps track of imports and exports in India, a new device codenamed Motorola Calisto has been imported from Canada to India for testing and it comes with a price tag of ₹29,775 (approximately $464/€418) though it is very likely to increase when it hits the stores. It is believed that the device with the codename Motorola Calisto is none other than the much-awaited Moto X 3rd Gen.
