Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) Features Leaked ahead of Launch

Motorola's Moto G (3^rd Gen) features have surfaced online ahead of its launch next week. 

A Motorola device codenamed XT1550, understood to be the new Moto G (3^rd Gen), has been spotted at Zauba.com, an Indian based export-import logistic company website. The device (from Taiwan), as per the manifest (courtesy, MobiPicker), features 5.0-inch display, 2GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage with a price tag of ₹8,436.

The manifest also shows another Moto G3 model, which costs ₹15,000. We believe this to be a higher-end model with 32GB storage space, which we have been hearing for months now.

Considering Moto G3's leaked import document, Motorola might release two Moto G (3^rd Gen) variants in India. It is also speculated that the device will be put on sale soon after the unveiling on 28 July. Motorola has confirmed to host a launch event in New Delhi on 28 July.

In a related development, technology blog Mobile Syrup has got hold of the alleged Moto G (3^rd Gen) prototype. It has claimed that the upcoming device will boast IP6X – Ingress Protection certifications. This means the users will be able take Moto G (2015) for a dip in water. For the uninitiated, IP6X rated devices can survive 1 metre (around 5 feet) under water for about 30 minutes.

This is a reasonable upgrade over its predecessor, which features just a nano-coating, which merely protected the phone from water splashes and enabled users to answer calls during rain, that too for a short period.

Other Moto G (3^rd gen) features include Snapdragon 410 series CPU, 13mp camera on the back, 5mp snapper on the front and a 2,470mAh battery.
